In February 2021, SRC Holdings announced the 10 year plan to our employee owners. The plan includes $75-$100 Million in real estate development for both manufacturing and retail space. The development will be managed by SRC Realty Co., a new subsidiary of SRC Holdings Corp.
In a video shared with our employee owners, SRC Realty Co. outlined two recently completed projects: a new 165,000 square foot facility on North Mulroy Road occupied by SRC Logistics Inc. and a 90,000 square foot expansion at Springfield Remanufacturing Corp.’s facility on North Broadview in Springfield, Missouri.
There are four other properties in Springfield that also have planned development projects:
- 925 E Chestnut will add an additional 140,000 square feet onto the existing Newstream Enterprises building
- 2401 E Sunshine will be expanded and a self-storage business will be added on the northwest corner of the property, while retail space will be located on the southeast corner of the property
- 2607 N Mulroy expansion is already in process, but phase 3 will include an additional 250,000 square foot manufacturing facility
- 4431 W Calhoun will be expanded for SRC Automotive Inc.
SRC Realty Co. also plans to purchase a facility in Lexington, Kentucky for SRC of Lexington, Inc.
In total, SRC expects to have a nearly 3.5 million square foot footprint by 2030.
