Who says Easter egg hunts are just for kids? At SRC of Lexington, we like to keep safety fun and interesting. For the month of April, our focus is on severe weather awareness. The Safety Activities Committee spread the message of weather safety by organizing an egg hunt throughout the facility. Each egg that was hidden contained a question related to severe weather awareness or preparedness. The employee who finds the egg wins a prize if he or she could answer the question correctly. Prizes were based on items that should be kept in a severe weather emergency, such as: First aid kits, backup batteries, multipurpose tools and a NOAA severe weather radio. The safety of our employees is always priority number one, and of course we like to have a little fun in the process.
